Repeat!

With two more hunters in the group(Travis and Blake), we hit the mountain with great expectations. The same trail as yesterday produced two grouse with no success. The anticipation of the one acre plot from yesterday loomed ahead. Travis and Hudson were to my right, and Blake and Steve were to my left. Travis did not even let us get into position before he took his first grouse of the trip. Just ten yards into the thicket, I saw grouse and tried to push them to the kids. One grouse headed for Blake and he downed the beautiful brown bird. Two more were going to our right, and Travis and Hudson each shot thier second grouse of the trip. Later Travis connected on a scared bunny, the fifth one to drop in two days. With the hunt coming to an end, the total was six grouse, five rabbits, and two squirrels. We also saw a black bear to complete our trip. We cannot wait till next year's oppurtunity. A special thanks to my brother-in-law, Vern, who invites us up here to enjoy this great hunting.
